Canberra Data Centres was established in 2008 supporting business with scalable, secure, reliable and cost-effective data centre services. The CDC facilities are designed to meet the highest standards of technology, security, availability, and sustainability. CDC has established campuses in Fyshwick, Hume, Eastern Creek and New Zealand.

Directly engaged by CDC, Sainsbury has worked in the design and installation the mechanical services at the Hume Fyshwick and Eastern Creek campuses. Working closely with our client and design teams, we have delivered the required efficient closed loop systems within the timeframe. A key feature of the CDC requirements was the installation of precision cooling systems allowing the building of custom rooms or pods for their clients. The clean, air cooled, ultra-efficient “chiller” technology reduces water use.

Using a standardised approach to data centre infrastructure implementing a Hot Aisle Containment solution that is 50 per cent more efficient than a combination of perimeter/point cooling. This increases availability, reliability, density and maintainability through multi-density cooling that is integrated with client workloads within CDC infrastructure.
